A case-based, clinically relevant CME experience covering biologics, small molecules, biosimilars, and emerging therapies for conditions including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, and more. Open to NPs, PAs, medical assistants, and access coordinators.

Post-Graduate Training and Fellowship Programs

There is no formal ACGME-accredited dermatology residency for PAs or NPs — but a growing number of rigorous post-graduate training programs offer structured, immersive clinical education for APPs who want to enter or deepen their dermatology practice.

Lahey Hospital Dermatology NP Training Program

The oldest and first ANCC-accredited dermatology NP training program in the country, founded in 2003. This two-year, full-time program is designed for board-certified NPs committed to a career in medical dermatology.
Next cohort: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028

University of Rochester Medical Center NP Post-Graduate Dermatology Training Program

A 24-month intensive clinical program (80% clinical, 20% didactic) that trains NPs alongside the URMC dermatology residency. Prepares graduates to sit for the Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) exam. Trainees are hired as full employees with benefits.

Florida Atlantic University Dermatology NP Post-Graduate Certificate Program

A hybrid certificate program for MSN or DNP-prepared nurse practitioners, taught by certified dermatology NPs and board-certified dermatologists. Covers immunology, dermatopathology, pharmacology, and clinical skills through a combination of online coursework and on-campus intensives.

Achieve Program

A 12-month online didactic program for NPs and PAs in the first three years of dermatology practice. Participants receive a textbook, access to online modules, and mentorship from an esteemed faculty of dermatologists and APP educators.

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center – Dermatology NP Post-Master’s Training Program

A clinical training program for post-master’s NPs providing in-depth experience alongside board-certified dermatologists.
