WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LOTUS SPROUT EXTRACT?

Lotus sprout extract promotes melanosome degradation in both melanocytes and keratinocytes. In addition, lotus sprout extract affects melanosome development and melanin production. Lotus sprout extract also possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

WHAT IS LOTUS SPROUT EXTRACT?

Lotus sprout extract is an ingredient extracted from lotus seeds (Nelumbinis semen) that has been used as a vegetable, functional food and medicine for thousands of years. The seeds are considered functional foods, and their extract has skincare benefits when applied topically.

IS LOTUS SPROUT EXTRACT SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES AND TONES?

Lotus sprout extract is safe for all skin types and tones.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

There is minimal data on contraindications for the topical application of lotus sprout extract. Although rare, patients with an allergy to lotus sprout extract, its components or its byproducts should avoid use of products containing lotus sprout extract.There is little data on the safety of using products with lotus sprout extract during pregnancy, so take caution if you are pregnant or may become pregnant.
