WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BLUE LIGHT DEFENSE PRODUCTS?

Blue light defense products physically block blue light and reduce free radicals formed by blue light, which can cause photoaging, dark spots and collagen breakdown.

WHAT ARE BLUE LIGHT DEFENSE PRODUCTS?

They are usually a mixture of minerals, antioxidants and ant-inflammatory agents. Commonly used minerals include zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and iron oxide. Vitamin C, vitamin E and niacinamide (vitamin B3) are the commonly used antioxidants. Botanicals, such as cocoa extract and ginger root extract, are often added on for their anti-inflammatory activity. These ingredients help neutralize the effects of blue light-induced oxidative stress and inflammation.

ARE BLUE LIGHT DEFENSE PRODUCTS SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES AND TONES?

Blue light defense products are generally considered safe for all skin type. However, patients should talk to their dermatologist if they encounter any side effects.
