WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ARTEMISIA EXTRACT?

Artemisia extract has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It has been shown to help improve dry skin symptoms in patients with atopic dermatitis, reduce skin redness, improve acne, brighten skin tone, and increase skin elasticity and firmness. These effects make it a popular ingredient in formulations aimed at soothing irritated or inflamed skin, while also promoting a more even complexion.

WHAT IS ARTEMISIA EXTRACT?

Artemisia extract is derived from the shrub Artemisia. There are more than 500 species of Artemisia across Asia, Europe and North America. It is widely used in traditional Asian medicine for hundreds of years due its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antitumor and antimicrobial properties. 

IS ARTEMISIA EXTRACT SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES AND TONES?

Artemisia extract is generally considered safe for all skin types although more safety studies are needed for a better understanding of its side effects. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

There are no specific contraindications associated with artemisia extract. When consumed orally, artemisia extract can lower the blood pressure and heart rate. Patients experiencing any side effects should talk to their doctor immediately.
